Envision this: You are at a barrel race, you have practiced for weeks, maybe even months to perfect everything. You haul your horse to the show, your exhibition, and you and your horse rock it. You go in for your run, feeling confident. You take off to the first pocket, turn it smoothly and snappy and rocket off to the second. Round the second so fast you can't even believe it, and head for the third. "One more turn and we got this" you tell yourself. You feel your horse's hind end set for the turn, you pick up your hand to shape him for the turn and your hand suddenly flies back toward you........your bridle breaks. Your horse gets scared from the snap and sudden release of pressure and drifts away from the barrel, widely turning the third and barrels towards the gate. You then panic, wondering how to stop this freight train with a broken bridle.

We offer Alamo Saddlery because it is tested, tried, and true. It is made with good materials, and will last you many many years even if you abuse it a little, or a lot. It will hold up to the pressure when you need it to, when it counts the most. Cheaper is not always better, looks are not always everything. We offer those mentioned cheaper tack sets and sell them with a blatant disclosure on their quality, because we just can't sleep at night thinking someone purchased one of those sets thinking it is top quality, to find out it is not. Maybe, it is better to invest in one higher priced tack set, than purchase 5 cheaply priced tack sets because they keep failing you.
